Sunny Hills is having a school-wide, spirit day on Friday, October 29 that we
are calling Celebrate YOU Day. Students can participate by wearing something school that is special to them, and by following any other guidance their teachers may provide. For instance, in some classes, students may celebrate by dressing up as their favorite book character. Other students, may participate by wearing their favorite shirt, uniform, or school appropriate costume that is special to them. The purpose is to make it fun and inclusive for everyone! Since students who participate will be wearing the same thing all day, students may not wear anything that interferes with the normal operation of the school day (they must be able to run at PE and recess, use the restroom independently, take their backpacks and coats on and off, etc.) Any masks or coverings that obscure identity, or extra accessories, props or weapons must be left at home. This day is truly about Celebrating YOU and anything students choose to wear must portray positive images and not be offensive or inappropriate in any way. Items that demean any race, religion, nationality, disability or gender are not allowed. We look forward to celebrating all our Mustangs on Friday, October 29!
