Independent Work Check List:
When I feel stuck or don’t know how to begin, take a breath and give yourself some time to think.
Then ask yourself:
1. Did I read the directions and problem?
2. Did I look on the board for examples?
3. Did I look at work I did earlier?
4. Did I ask my table partner for clarification?
Still not sure?
Raise your hand and wait for the teacher to come to you.  This is not a time to give up but to still try to figure it or skip the problem and move on to what you do know.
