This is the first full week for K-3rd. Although this doesn't directly affect you, since I serve all grades, there will be some adjustment. One adjustment, is the Mrs. Elliott will be taking Miss Nugent's place during the 10:30-11:45 time slot in zoom. Please contact me if you have any questions.

General Membership Meeting - NEW DATE!

We will vote on the Executive Board slate, recognize our Golden Acorn & Outstanding Educator awards, as well as welcome Mr. Baynes for updates and questions as time allows. Meeting documents, 2021-2022 executive slate and Google Meet link will be posted on the Sunny Hills PTA website.
If you have a Fred Meyer's Community Rewards account Visit this page and link your Fred Meyer Rewards Card to Sunny Hills. You will be asked to log in or create your online account. You can search for Sunny Hills by name or by our nonprofit number (91256). You still earn your Rewards Points, Fuel Points, and Rebates - but now you’ll also be earning money for Sunny Hills PTA.
Dining for Dollars: RECAP
Thank you to all the families who were able to order from MOD Pizza in the Highlands on March 3rd. MOD Pizza will be donating 20% of the sales from those who participated on that date to Sunny Hills Elementary PTA.
Snow days: When we lose power or wifi, there are a few things you can still do. You can read a book, write a story, follow a recipe, play a board game, use materials around the house to build something.
With 2020 behind us, we can look at the new year as a chance to use all we learned over the fall to further our learning. I am really excited to be able to use the new resources we have found and continue our learning. We now know that even though it is difficult, we can learn in a remote setting.
I will continue checking in with kids and families to make sure you have what you need for a productive work environment and appropriate materials.
Here's to a new year and our continued growth as learners!
I look forward to seeing the 5th graders during the graduation drive by ceremony!
Usually my services tend to end a week before the end of school. Because of the unique situation we have and that we had a prolonged period where there was no new learning going on, I am continuing my services up to the end of the school year.
Progress reports will go home on June 18th and will look different than usual. There will not be data points but more of a narrative with input from parents, gen ed teachers and support staff. I will be available to answer any questions you might have about progress and what next year will look like during the summer.

Come hang out with us via Zoom video chat! We are facilitating a (FREE) virtual space for Autistic adults and kids to hang out, have fun, and build community. Our first meeting is a “show and tell”. Show and tell us about yourself, your current interest, a favorite object, something you made/did recently, or a topic of your choice! RSVP below.

If you identify as Autistic, you are welcome here.
If you are Autistic and would like to attend with your Autistic child, please RSVP for one adult and one child.
We have capacity to host about 10 people for this first meetup, and we’d like to have a good ratio of Autistic adults to non-adults. If we receive more RSVPs than we have room for, we will start a waiting list.
